1910 have John Boultbee and his son Wilfred Mason Brooks filed two patents related to improvements in satchels, backpacks and the like. Both patents will guarantee a more equal distribution of the load on the tires of the bag and thus stability of the bag during cycling.
With this in mind, Brooks developed the new Barbican shoulder bag, provided with a shoulder strap which can easily put around can be fixed to the waist during the ride.

The belt is the innovative part of this bag. The bag can be used for both good cycling and walking.
